Portuguese Sardine Tomato Pasta
A tomato-based pasta with garlic, onion, herbs, and King Cup Premium Portuguese Sardines.

Ingredients
- 1 can King Cup Premium Portuguese Sardines
- 180-200g pasta
- 1 tbsp oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce
- 1/4 tsp sugar, optional
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup pasta water
- Basil or parsley, optional
- Grated cheese, optional
Instructions
- Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente.
- Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water before draining.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Saute garlic and onion until soft and fragrant.
- Add crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce.
- Simmer for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add King Cup Premium Portuguese Sardines.
- Gently break the sardines into large pieces.
- Add cooked pasta and toss with the sauce.
- Add pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.
- Season with black pepper and a small pinch of sugar if the sauce tastes too sharp.
- Garnish with herbs and cheese, if desired.
