Sardine Bicol Express Style
A creamy, spicy sardine dish inspired by Bicol Express, made with coconut milk, ginger, chili, and King Cup Spicy Sardines.

Ingredients
- 1 can King Cup Spicy Sardines
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 thumb-sized piece ginger, sliced
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1-2 chilies, sliced
- 1 tsp bagoong, optional
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Saute garlic, onion, and ginger until fragrant.
- Add coconut milk and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add bagoong, if using.
- Simmer for 5-7 minutes until the coconut milk slightly thickens.
- Add King Cup Spicy Sardines.
- Stir gently to keep the sardines in large pieces.
- Add sliced chilies.
- Simmer for another 3 minutes over low heat.
- Season with black pepper.
- Serve hot with rice.
