Spicy Sardine Rice Bowl with Egg

Ingredients

  • 1 can King Cup Spicy Sardines
  • 1 1/2 cups hot cooked rice
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp spring onions, chopped
  • Cucumber slices, optional
  • Calamansi, for serving
  • Chili oil, optional

Instructions

  1. Heat a small pan over medium heat.
  2. Add King Cup Spicy Sardines and warm gently.
  3. Let the sauce reduce for 1-2 minutes until slightly thicker.
  4. In a separate pan, fry the egg sunny-side up.
  5. Place hot rice in a bowl.
  6. Spoon the spicy sardines and sauce over the rice.
  7. Place the fried egg on top.
  8. Garnish with onion, spring onions, and cucumber.
  9. Finish with calamansi or chili oil.
